IQ Option Demo Account Login and Access
One Login, Two Balances
Your account holds both balances at once. The credentials you registered with reach the practice balance and the real one, and a selector in the platform decides which is active for your next order.
Understanding this single point removes most of the confusion around demo access. You are not opening a demo account and a real account; you are opening one account that has two balances in it.
Shared credentials
The email and password you registered with are the whole login. There is no second demo password, no demo-specific web address and no separate app for practising. If a page asks you to sign in somewhere else "for the demo", it is not the broker.
Demo and real modes
The platform shows which balance is active, and orders go to whichever one is selected. The interface is otherwise near-identical in both modes: same charts, same tools, same order ticket, which is exactly why checking the label matters. Switching between demo and real covers the mechanics in depth.
No separate demo login
There is nothing to sign up for twice. Registering once gives you practice access immediately and leaves the real balance dormant until you choose to fund it. That also means going live later requires no new account, only verification and a deposit.
- One email and password for both balances.
- The balance selector, not the login, decides the mode.
- No separate demo site, app or credentials exist.
One login, two balances: the mode is a setting inside the platform, never a different sign-in.
Reaching the Demo
Sign in, open the balance selector near the top of the trading screen, and choose the practice balance. New accounts commonly start in practice mode already, so often there is nothing to change.
The exact wording and placement are whatever the current platform shows, so find the control deliberately once, and after that it is obvious on every device.
Default on new accounts
A freshly registered account typically opens in practice mode with the virtual balance already credited, which is the sensible default for looking around. Confirm it by reading the balance label rather than assuming, especially if you have since funded a real balance.
The balance switcher
- Open the platform in your browser or in the mobile app and sign in.
- Find the balance display near the top of the trading screen: it shows the active balance.
- Open it and select the practice balance from the list of balances on the account.
- Check that the label and figure on screen now match the practice balance.
- Place your first practice order only after that check.
Virtual funds shown
In practice mode the balance is simulated. It is commonly reported as around $10,000 in virtual funds, though the amount and currency shown can vary by account and region. Your own platform balance is the accurate one. If the figure looks low, the practice balance can generally be refilled from within the platform, from the account or balance area.
Reaching the demo is three steps: sign in, open the balance selector, pick the practice balance, then read the label back.
Web and App Access
The same account works in a browser and in the mobile app, and the switching gesture is the same idea on both. Whichever surface you use, your account, history and balances stay in sync.
The platform is reachable through a browser and through mobile apps, and a desktop application is also generally offered. Pick whichever fits how you work. Nothing about your account changes with the surface.
Browser sign-in
Type the broker's address yourself rather than following an advert, sign in, and check the padlock and domain before entering credentials. A browser is usually the easier place to learn on, because the larger screen keeps the chart, the order ticket and the balance label visible at once. Our PC and web guide covers the desktop workflow.
Mobile app sign-in
Install from your device's official app store and sign in with the same credentials. On a phone the balance display is generally where you switch modes, sometimes via the account area rather than the top bar. The mobile app guide walks through practising on a small screen.
Consistent switching
Because the mode is a property of your session rather than the device, get into the habit of checking the active balance every time you open the platform — including after switching devices. It takes two seconds and it is the single most effective habit in this guide.
- Same credentials on web, app and desktop.
- Install only from official app stores; type web addresses yourself.
- Check the active balance after every sign-in or device change.
Any surface, one account, and one check on every sign-in tells you which balance you are about to trade.
Access Snags
Most access complaints are one of three things: the wrong balance is selected, the practice balance is depleted, or a sign-in step failed. All three are quick fixes once you know which one you have.
Work through them in order: the first is by far the most common and costs nothing to rule out.
Landing in the wrong mode
If your trades are not appearing where you expect, or the numbers look wrong, check the balance label first. Trading live while you believe you are practising is the expensive version of this mistake, so make the check reflexive: before your first order of every session, and again after any refresh, reconnection or device change.
Empty demo balance
A practice balance at or near zero can look like the demo has stopped working. It has not. The platform generally offers a way to top the practice balance back up from the account or balance area — check the current wording there, as no reset limit or cooldown was verified for this guide. What to do when the balance runs out covers it, along with what a depleted balance is telling you about your sizing.
Login errors
Rejected credentials are usually a typo, a stale saved password, or the wrong email address. Type the password manually once before assuming anything is wrong. Repeated failures may trigger a temporary security pause, which is protective rather than a fault. If the platform does not load at all, try a different network or browser before contacting anyone: that separates a connectivity problem from an account one. Working through those three in order resolves the large majority of access complaints.
- Check the balance label before troubleshooting anything else.
- A zero practice balance is a refill, not a lockout.
- Type the password manually before assuming the account is at fault.
Balance label first, refill second, credentials third: that order resolves nearly every demo access complaint.
Getting Back In
If you cannot sign in, reset the password from the sign-in screen, complete any device confirmation the platform asks for, and contact official support only from inside the platform or its published contact route.
Recovery is deliberately routine. The only real risk in this process is doing it through the wrong channel, so keep everything on the broker's own surfaces.
Password reset
- Use the password-reset link on the official sign-in screen, not a link from an email you did not request.
- Enter the email address the account is registered to and submit the request.
- Open the reset message from that mailbox and follow it; check the spam folder if it does not arrive.
- Set a new, unique password and store it in a password manager.
- Sign in, then check the balance selector before placing anything.
Device verification
Signing in from a new device, a new location or after a long gap can prompt a confirmation step — typically a code sent to your registered email. That is standard security. Make sure the email address on the account is one you can still access, because an unreachable mailbox turns a two-minute check into a support case.
Support if needed
If access is still blocked, use the support route published inside the platform or on the broker's own site. Never share your password with anyone, and never enter account details on a third-party page offering to restore access. When contacting support, include the registered email, what you were doing and what the platform showed: that usually resolves it in one exchange. If you want to confirm the entity you are dealing with, the CySEC public register lists it as IQBroker Europe Ltd, CIF licence 247/14, granted 30 July 2014, Cyprus company number 327751, verified on 3 September 2026.
Risk warning: trading carries a risk of loss and demo results do not predict real results. The practice balance carries no money risk; a funded account does, which is exactly why the balance check before each session matters.
Reset from the official sign-in screen, keep your registered email reachable, and contact support only through the platform.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a separate login for the IQ Option demo account?
No. One set of credentials opens the account, and a balance selector inside the platform decides whether you are trading the practice balance or a real one.
How do I switch to the demo balance?
Sign in, open the balance display near the top of the trading screen, select the practice balance, then confirm the label and figure on screen before placing an order.
Can I use the demo on my phone with the same account?
Yes. Install the app from your device official store and sign in with the same credentials. The balance selector works the same way, usually from the balance display or the account area.
My practice balance is empty: have I lost access?
No. A depleted practice balance is not a lockout. The platform generally lets you refill it from the account or balance area; check the current wording there.
I cannot sign in. What should I try first?
Type the password manually in case a saved one is stale, then use the reset link on the official sign-in screen. Expect a confirmation code by email if you are on a new device.
