Who we are

Sandbox Desk is an independent editorial project. We publish one thing well: clear, current explanations of the IQ Option demo account — how the practice balance works, what the traderoom looks like before you ever fund anything, and where the demo stops resembling live trading.

We are not IQ Option. We are not owned by, staffed by, or speaking for the broker, and nothing on this site is an official IQ Option publication. We are readers of the same public pages you are, writing for people who want the demo explained in plain language before they decide whether a real account is worth opening.

What this site covers

• Opening, resetting and refilling the practice balance.
• Moving around the traderoom: charts, timeframes, indicators, order entry.
• Practising a method — position sizing, keeping a trading log, reading your own results honestly.
• Where demo and real diverge: execution, emotion, funding, withdrawals.
• Common problems people hit at registration, login or verification.

How pages are researched and maintained

Every guide starts from the operator's own published material and the platform's visible behaviour, written up in our own words. Where a page states a number — a balance figure, a minimum, a regional restriction — it comes from a source we can point at, and it is dated. We do not run hidden tests, we do not claim to have audited the broker, and we do not present marketing copy as findings.

Platform details change without notice: menus get rebuilt, limits move, availability shifts by country. Treat anything numeric here as a snapshot. Before you act on a figure, confirm it on IQ Option's own pages. When we notice something has moved, we update the page and leave the correction visible rather than quietly rewriting history.

Who writes it

Editorial work on Sandbox Desk is led by Bronwyn Alderscott, our Trading Education Editor, who commissions the guides, edits them line by line, and signs off on any factual claim before it goes live. Corrections and disputes come to the same desk — if you can show a page is wrong, write in and it gets fixed or explained. There is no anonymous review board here; one editor is accountable for what you read.

What we do not do

• No financial advice. Nothing here is a recommendation to trade, to deposit, or to choose one instrument over another. What you do with your money is your decision and your risk.
• No account servicing. We cannot see, open, verify, unblock, top up or close anyone's IQ Option account, and we never ask for passwords or documents.
• No profit claims. A demo balance costs nothing to lose; a real one does. Trading carries a risk of loss, and practice results do not carry over.
• No paid placement. How we are funded is set out in full on our partner disclosure page.
